Activity at Ramsvikslandet – What can you expect?

One of the most famous trails is Ramsvik Trail, an approximately 5 km long loop that goes through varying terrain – from cliffs by the sea to forest areas and open meadows. For those who want to take their hike further, there is also the option to continue on The coastal path, a longer hiking trail that stretches along the entire Bohus coast and past Ramsvikslandet.

Transport – How do you get to Ramsvikslandet?

1. By car

Getting to Ramsvikslandet by car is easy and practical. If you are coming from Gothenburg (about 140 km away), take the E6 towards Uddevalla and then continue via road 162 towards Hunnebostrand. From Hunnebostrand it is only a short drive to Ramsvikslandet. For visitors coming from the Stockholm roads, it is easiest to take the E4 to Gothenburg and then follow the directions from there. Or, set your GPS to Uddevalla. There is plenty of parking at Ramsvikslandet, so it is easy to find a place for your car.

2. By bus

There are regular bus connections from Gothenburg to Sotenäs municipality. You can take a bus from Gothenburg Central Station to Hunnebostrand, where you can change to local buses that will take you to Ramsvikslandet. The bus is a good alternative for those who do not want to drive and at the same time enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

If you come from further away, there are both Bus4you and Flixbus along the coast. Stop at Torp Shopping Center or Tanum Shopping Center and take a local bus from there.

3. By train

The train is an alternative if you are traveling to Ramsvikslandet from other parts of Sweden. The nearest train station is in Uddevalla, where you can take a bus to Hunnebostrand and then on to Ramsvikslandet.
